A day full of insight and connection
On Saturday, May 2, the OOG in OOG Association held its National Meet-and-Greet Day.
During the gathering, founder Tonnie Landman was honored for her recent royal award with a standing ovation from those in attendance.
During the General Meeting, Jeremy van Vliet was appointed as the board member responsible for retinoblastoma, and it was announced that he would assume the role of chairperson on an interim basis.
The program also included various presentations in the morning, including talks by ophthalmologist Nara Badalova (Amsterdam UMC) and IT coach Richard Ouwejan (Koninklijke Visio). You can read more about the content of these presentations in the next issue of the magazine. Saskia Spinhoven gave a presentation on volunteering for the OOG in OOG Association. There was also time for participants to connect with peers and visit information booths.
In the afternoon, the 60 participants could choose from various activities, such as discussion groups for members and their loved ones, a photography workshop, and a guided walk through Nijkerk.
The association looks back on a rewarding and inspiring day.
