On Thursday, June 13, 2024, the “Oog in OOG” exhibition opened at the muZIEum. This exhibition featured photographs of people with eye prostheses. The portraits were taken by Marina Marinkovic, who is not only an ophthalmologist but also a photographer. The OOG in OOG Association published a booklet featuring this series of portraits.

Marina: “Rosan is lively, athletic, and successful. From my conversation with her, I learned that first impressions don’t reveal anything about a person’s need to connect with others in similar situations.”

Rosan:

“Cleaning my dentures used to be a nightmare. My dad had to hold me steady. As a child, those dentures were a big problem for me, but when I turned 15, I didn’t want that anymore.

I used to always have a strand of my bangs hanging over my left eye. Then I got my left ear pierced, and ever since then I’ve just been tucking my hair behind my ear. I was on Tinder for a very short time and saw a guy there with an artificial eye. Normally, I might not have swiped right on him, but I really wanted to talk to someone like me. By the way, at the OOG in OOG Association, I’d love to do something for young people to talk about this.”
