Hans says: “Organizing member and informational meetings was very enjoyable and rewarding volunteer work. My wife, Corry, also enjoyed welcoming attendees and helping to organize the lunches. After a while, I joined the board.”

The reason Hans joined our association was to learn more about living with one eye and to connect with others in the same situation. Hans: “Six weeks after I was born in 1947, my right eye was removed, and I received a plastic prosthesis that became available shortly after World War II. As a child, you gradually learn to live with it. It wasn’t until much later that I discovered everything that comes with seeing with only one eye.”

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Hans for his many years of dedication to our association.
