Victoria’s mother unsuspectingly took a beautiful photo of her little daughter. With a flash, mind you. And it was precisely that flash that saved her life.
This is how Victoria discovered her daughter had retinoblastoma
The four-year-old daughter was diagnosed with the rare condition retinoblastoma after her mother saw her tumor “glow” in a flash photo. “I saw a huge white haze over her pupil. I immediately thought, ‘She has cancer.’ In a panic, I covered her healthy eye, grabbed a few random objects, and asked her to name them. She said, ‘Mommy, I can’t see it.’”
