On June 6, we have a fun outdoor activity planned in downtown Dordrecht. Of course, we’re hoping for nice weather, because we’re going out on the water together!
We’ll meet at 1:15 p.m. at the Dordrecht train station. From there, you’ll walk with the other participants to the Wijnbrug—a walk of about 20 minutes. At 2:00 p.m., you’ll board De Dordtevaar, an open, quiet electric boat. During the approximately one-hour cruise, you’ll sail through the historic canals and past unique spots you wouldn’t normally get to see. You’ll also head out onto the open water: the Oude Maas, a major European shipping route for large vessels. Along the way, the skipper will share fascinating stories about Dordrecht.
After the boat ride, we’ll have a drink together and you can chat with everyone. This activity is intended for all members, young and old, to meet each other in person. You may bring one guest. The participation fee is €5 per person. Would you like to bring more people? Please check with the organizers first.
If there are enough sign-ups, we’ll charter the boat exclusively for our group (a minimum of 25 and a maximum of 40 people). If there are fewer than 25 participants, other guests will also be on board.
