HerZien Peer Support Group: Two New Sessions
23 July 2026
The ongoing peer support group HerZien was evaluated after the pilot period. A number of adjustments were made.
In this group, you’ll meet people who are missing an eye, are blind in one eye, and/or wear an ocular prosthesis. Together, you’ll share your experiences and offer each other support. You’ll also discover practical tips for daily life. Experienced facilitators lead the group.
What’s changing?
- From now on, the group will be a fixed group. This means no new people will join during a round.
- One session consists of 3 meetings, held once every 2 weeks.
- Are you joining us? If so, you’re expected to attend all three sessions.
- Would you like to continue the conversation afterward? If so, you can join a follow-up group.
- A group consists of 3 to 10 participants.
Two new rounds
Two new rounds are scheduled for 2026. You can sign up for one of the two rounds. HerZien is open to both members and non-members.
- Monday evenings: September 7, September 21, and October 5 (facilitators: Christina Oost and Afke Middelkoop)
- Tuesday evenings: November 3, November 17, and December 1 (moderators: Ruud Nobbe and Afke Middelkoop)
