Office Workers

Our organization has two paid staff members. In addition to their own duties, they support the volunteer teams in their work.

Medical Advisory Board (MAR)

The OOG in OOG Association can consult experts when we have questions. The MAR consists of individuals who can advise the association based on their professional expertise. In forming the MAR, the goal was to ensure multidisciplinary representation. The advisory board consists of five members:

  • Frédérique Bak, ocularist
  • Gijsbert Hötte, M.A., Ophthalmologist at Rotterdam Eye Hospital
  • Laila Gaasbeek, orthoptist at Koninklijke Visio
  • Prof. Dr. Annette Moll, ophthalmologist at Amsterdam UMC
  • Dr. Dyonne Hartong, Orbital Specialist at Amsterdam UMC

About the MAR:

  • MAR members stay informed about ongoing and new scientific research; they keep the board informed of relevant medical developments.
  • The MAR serves as a sounding board for the board of the OOG in OOG Association. Ideas and initiatives regularly emerge within the OOG in OOG team. In these cases, input, advice, and review from the MAR are welcome.
  • At the request of the board, MAR members contribute to articles for the magazine, the website, and social media.
  • The MAR member is available to contribute, upon request, to a meeting organized by the OOG in OOG Association.
  • The MAR is free to provide unsolicited advice to the board of the OOG in OOG Association.

Partner Organizations

The OOG in OOG Association collaborates as much as possible with specialized professionals such as ocularists (specialists in the fabrication of eye prostheses) and orbital specialists (ophthalmologists who specialize in orbital disorders).
