Having one or two ocular prostheses or seeing with only one eye can have not only physical but often psychological and social consequences as well. But you’re not alone. We offer expertise (based on personal experience) and opportunities to connect with others. And we advocate for your interests. The OOG in OOG Association supports people who see with one eye. Will you support our association? Sign up to become a member. Your supplemental health insurance may cover ( part of) the membership fee.

Belgians can also become members

Are you a resident of Belgium (Flanders) and do you have vision in only one eye, or do you wear an ocular prosthesis or an orbital prosthesis? Then you’re more than welcome to join the OOG in OOG Association! Even though we are a Dutch patient advocacy group, we welcome anyone who identifies with our mission. Why? Because much of what unites us transcends national borders.

How much does membership cost?

For just €25 per year, you can become a member of our association and support our charity. Payment is made by direct debit. As soon as you become a member, our administrative department will deduct the remaining annual amount from your account.

When you become a member, you’ll receive a welcome package from us. It includes, among other things:
• The booklet: Living with an Eye Prosthesis
• The latest issues of our magazine, Oog in Oog.

Some health insurers cover the cost of membership. You can read more about this in this document.

Would you like to do something extra?

Many members pay more than the membership fee each year. The association is, of course, very grateful for this. It greatly expands our association’s opportunities. An additional contribution is therefore more than welcome. You can sign up as a donor using the online donor registration form or by sending an email to our administrative office. You can choose to make a one-time donation or an annual donation.

Would you like to cancel your membership?

You can cancel your membership by sending an email to info@ver-ooginoog.nl. The cancellation will take effect at the end of the relevant year. You must submit your cancellation request by December 1.
