What do the volunteers at the OOG in OOG Association do?

The OOG in OOG Association cannot function without active volunteers. We’re looking for people to help with both small, one-time tasks and slightly larger ones. It’s important that you choose volunteer work that suits you, that you’re good at, and that you enjoy.

What kinds of volunteer tasks might you consider:

What do our volunteer teams do?

There are 8 different teams. Within each team, volunteers with similar backgrounds work together, supported by office staff, the board, and volunteers who perform general duties.

They are working on:

  • Organizing (online) meetings.
  • Answer questions from other people in the same situation.
  • They serve as the point of contact for healthcare providers regarding scientific research.
  • Advocate for the interests of their group.
  • Follow the news about their condition.
  • Writing articles for the magazine.

Don't miss this opportunity!

Together, we strive to make a difference for people who see with one eye or wear one or two ocular prostheses, as well as their loved ones. With each other and for each other. Because together, we’re stronger! In our online library, you can read interviews with other volunteers from our association.

Take this opportunity to make an important and meaningful contribution—and to learn something in the process. Please contact Saskia Spinhoven, the volunteer coordinator at Vereniging OOG in OOG, for more information:
vrijwilligers@ver-ooginoog.nl or fill out the form below.
