An event where employers and job seekers come together

Do you have a visual impairment and are you looking for a job (or a different job), or are you an employer who wants to hire (more) people with visual impairments? Then come to the Oogvereniging event on Friday afternoon, June 13, at BCN in Zwolle!

They’ll kick off the afternoon with a short presentation in which an expert by experience will demonstrate how to work in a paid position with limited or no vision. This will be followed by a panel discussion featuring various employers who hire blind and visually impaired individuals, and employees with visual impairments will share their experiences. Next, there will be a “meet & greet” where job seekers and employers can get to know each other through speed-dating sessions. As a job seeker, you can choose in advance which employers you’d like to speak with. Everyone can also visit the information booths to view assistive devices and learn more about workplace accommodations. The event will conclude with a relaxed, informal reception. This event, organized by the Oogvereniging as part of the “Werkgevers ontzorgen” project, is free for all participants.

The event is aimed at employers and people with visual impairments who are looking for work in the Zwolle region. They interpret the term “Zwolle region” broadly, so job seekers and employers from Gelderland, Flevoland, Groningen, and other areas are also very welcome!
