Every year, approximately 600 children in the Netherlands are diagnosed with cancer. Milan, now six years old, is one of them. When he was three months old, he was diagnosed with retinoblastoma.
Milan lost his eye to retinoblastoma
Parents Jan and Hanneke Burger are advocating for greater awareness of this form of childhood cancer. Hanneke: “I had never heard of this form before, even though knowing about it could save a child’s eye.”
