In the News: 3D-Printed Eye Prostheses

Ocularist Jelmer Remmers and Ophthalmologist Dyonne Hartong were guests on a radio show on NPO Radio 1 yesterday to discuss this topic. Dyonne: “The group in this study consisted of 10 patients. The next step will be to see what the experiences are like for a larger group.” Jelmer: “We had to wait a while for a printer that could handle this process. In addition to the shape, the color of the prosthesis must, of course, be right as well.”
