Face to Face with Nox

Nox was born with a small eye. When he was born, his mother, Naomi, didn’t immediately notice that something was wrong with his eye. The pediatrician and the ophthalmologist at their local hospital had never seen anything like it. Eventually, Nox was referred to a specialist ophthalmologist in Amsterdam, where he received a prosthetic eye.

His mother says, “Nox has a new prosthesis, and with it, you can’t really see that little eye at all. And he’s doing really well—he’s in children’s gym class and is incredibly coordinated. But still, you can’t help but feel a little extra concern.”
