Sebastiaan Hermans (44) has been a criminal court judge in Den Bosch for seventeen years. At the time, he was one of the youngest judges in the Netherlands, and he is currently the only judge who is virtually blind.
Nothing prevents people with visual impairments from pursuing a career
In both his work and personal life, his visual impairment causes him little inconvenience. It is mainly the outside world that confronts him with this issue, often without being asked.
