For this project, he uses portrait photographs of people with eye conditions. He spoke with the subjects: What do they see? He then depicted their vision. <\/p>\n
The photos consist of a standard portrait and, alongside it, the same photo showing what the person sees when they look at themselves in the mirror. Each set of photos is accompanied by a small handheld speaker that tells a story that goes along with the photos. <\/p>\n
Anja: \u201cIt was nice to see my own photos on display at the museum. It was a bit strange to hear my story told by a voice actor. The tour through the dark world of a blind person was impressive, but also reassuring. I realized that I\u2019m actually already applying all those tips and tricks in my daily life. I navigated the course effortlessly. I now know that, even as my vision continues to decline, I can still enjoy Paris\u2014or any other place!\u201d<\/p>\n
