This is according to<a href=\"https:\/\/iknl.nl\/kankersoorten\/kanker-bij-kinderen\/cijfers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> data from the Dutch Cancer Registry<\/a>, which was released by the Netherlands Comprehensive Cancer Organization (IKNL). <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The number of children diagnosed with cancer is around 600 new cases per year. The most common types of cancer during the 2020\u20132024 period were acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), low-grade glioma, and Hodgkin lymphoma. The latter two, along with <a href=\"https:\/\/ver-ooginoog.nl\/en\/retinoblastoma\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"610\">retinoblastoma<\/a>, are also the three types of cancer with the highest survival rates: 96 to 98 percent of children with one of these diseases are still alive after five years.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Source: Medisch Contact<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The survival rate for children (ages 0 to 18) with cancer has continued to rise.
