She immediately got to work with her iron-on beads. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt first, I thought I\u2019d just make hearts, but then I started making flowers, butterflies, and other shapes,\u201d she says with a laugh. People could give whatever they wanted. Those who donated more received a larger piece of art. Family, neighbors, Grandma\u2019s coworkers, and even strangers joined in.   <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bonita has one clear wish: the money must go to a good cause. \u201cI\u2019d like the money to go toward something for children,\u201d she says. \u201cBut the most important thing is that it\u2019s put to good use for people who have an ocular prosthesis.\u201d  <\/p>\n<p>Her mother adds: \u201cIt was also nice that Bonita was recognized as the big sister,\u201d says Jolanda. Bonita hopes others will follow her example: \u201cIt would be great if you\u2019d also like to get involved with the association or make a donation, even if it\u2019s just 1 euro.
