So you don&#8217;t have to go anywhere. It&#8217;s an accessible way to meet other people and get information from professionals.  <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are we going to do?<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On July 8, we\u2019re hosting an online gathering for anyone who is blind or has severe visual impairment. This event will provide you with valuable information and a sense of community. You can register for this event even if you\u2019re not a member of the OOG in OOG Association.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ophthalmologist Dr. Sodabah Khatab<\/strong> of the Rotterdam Eye Hospital discusses the effects on the brain following an eye removal. Topics covered include the day-night rhythm and phantom images. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This event is intended for members and non-members who:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>have had both eyes removed or are about to undergo this procedure<\/li>\n<li>to have had one eye removed and to have very poor vision in the other eye<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the presentation, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and share experiences with others.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can submit questions when you register. This way, we can ensure that important topics are definitely covered. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We&#8217;re counting on you to come<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019ve noticed that people sometimes confuse an online peer support meeting with a webinar. This meeting is NOT a webinar that is recorded and can be watched later. This is an online peer support meeting where we\u2019ll have a conversation with one another. When you register, we assume you\u2019ll be attending.
